LABORER / EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Benton County Electric System is seeking Laborers/Equipment Operators to work with us on our Right of Way program.
Ensuring access for our Lineman, the Right of Way team is responsible for clearing and maintaining all areas under the power lines throughout Benton County. Working daily outside in various conditions and temperatures, the ideal candidate should have experience operating chainsaws and cutting trees, using brush hooks, chopping axes, pike poles, and mixing and spraying herbicide. General mechanical knowledge is preferred to service, troubleshoot, operate, and maintain right-of-way equipment.

The candidate must operate pickups, heavy-duty trucks, and learn the correct operations of right-of-way clearing machinery such as a bush hog, chipping machine, and a skid steer. Lifting up to 50 lbs. is required. A valid driver’s license is required. A CDL driver’s license is preferred. High School or GED equivalent required. Right-of-Way/chainsaw experience is preferred.

The starting pay for this position will be $18.75 (eighteen dollars and seventy-five cents) an hour.
